FINAL REPORT
This final thesis report consists of a yearlong study of the mechanical systems for the Commons at Stanton Square. This report is focused on the re-design of the mechanical systems in attempt to improve the already efficient existing systems of the building. In order to evaluate the success or failure of the proposed design options, initial studies took place to determine the existing ventilation system performance, load demands, energy performance, and current utility costs.
The main goals of the proposed designs are to be as energy efficient as possible while simultaneously keeping the total project cost at a reasonable value. These project goals are kept in mind when assessing each depth and breadth for feasibility.
