PROPOSAL
Electrical Breadth _______________________________________________________________________Due to the mechanical systems being redesigned in the Commons at Stanton Square, the power distribution will also need to be reconfigured. The new electrical loads will need to be recalculated due to the mechanical equipment redesign. In addition, PV panels will be added on the roof in the location of the existing green roof. Therefore, an energy and cost savings analysis will be performed to see how long the payback period for the panels will be taking initial cost into consideration.
Plumbing Breadth _______________________________________________________________________Due to the green roof being replaced with the proposed PV panels stated in the Electrical Breadth, the storm water will need to be collected elsewhere. The green roof was originally a tool to collect storm water, and also keep the roof and a lower and more stable temperature especially in the summer heat. Due to the proposed change, this plumbing breadth will not only look into an alternate water collection system such as underground basins, but it will also include a comparative analysis between the benefits of the green roof vs. the benefits of the PV panels.
